Tuesday’s Dump & Chase: Two Steps Forward, One Step Back

While there have been some encouraging signs of healing, additional injuries may have joined the parade. Smashville News: So, P.K. Subban is skating alone, Kyle Turris is practicing non-contact, but Austin Watson is in a walking boot. When it rains, it pours. Good news: apparently Kyle Turris skated in practice in a non contact jersey. Bad news: Austin Watson seen wearing a walking boot. #Preds— Alex Daugherty (@AlexDaugherty1) December 10, 2018 Poile inspired by father on way to U.S....

Preds’ Prospects Report: November

Who’s in the pipeline, and how are they doing Just a quick reminder on our new format: last year, I debuted a monthly piece with an update on each prospect in the Nashville Predators’ organization. For me, it got to a point where it felt exhausting: sometimes there wasn’t much to note on a particular player, I was being repetitive, or I didn’t commit enough words to a particular prospect over fears of drowning out players. So, I’m mixing it up. Essentially, I wanted to allow myself more fl...

The Week That Was: Week 9

What started as a promising week ended very, very poorly. As injuries continue to hamper a few of the Nashville Predators’ key players, the rest of the Central Division is starting to smell a little blood. What was a multi-game lead in the division a week ago is no longer as the Preds return home this week following an empty Western Canada road trip. The Colorado Avalanche have pulled even with the Preds in points after a week that started with a good victory over Buffalo at home. This ...

Nashville Predators 2, Calgary Flames 5: Preds Fail to Collect Any Points on Road Trip

Tonight’s contest was great...if you’re a Calgary fan. The Predators didn’t get too great of a start in Calgary. Oliver Kylington scored his first NHL goal 1:13 into the first period to put the Flames up early. The Predators struggled to get the puck out of their zone and managed to take the first penalty. Nick Bonino was sent to the box with 11:31 left in the first. The penalty killers came up big for the Predators. Calgary went on the penalty kill with 7:42 remaining in the first on a T...
